Description

Theo is a handsome Ardennes Stallion. A powerful draft horse and native to France, the Ardennes is one of the oldest draft horse breeds. Originating in the Ardennes region of France and Belgium, these horses had to be hardy to work the rough terrain which was laden with forests and hills. They also provided transport for several military campaigns. The muscular and heavy-boned Ardennes stands just 15-16hh, yet can weight up to 2,200 pounds. Bay and roan coats are most commonly seen, but they may also be chestnut, grey, and palomino. The modern Ardennes is most often seen working alongside man in both farming and forestry.
